Lost Licenses
- A current year lost license may be replaced at any license
issuing outlet at a cost of$5.00
for a license panel.
Big game carcass tag sets or turkey carcass tag sets
may be replaced at a cost of $10.00.
There is no charge to replace a lost back tag.

Age Requirements –
MINORS:
Minors may fish without a license until the age 16.
When 16, minors must purchase an
adult fishing
license. Minors
may not hunt without a license; minors are eligible for junior
license beginning at
age 12 upon successful completion of hunter education
course. Minors
may not trap without a license; minors are eligible for junior
trapping license at any age upon
successful
completion of trapper training course.
Junior Hunting - age 12 – 15
Junior Archery - age 14 – 15
SENIORS: Seniors become eligible for reduced fee licenses
at age 70
Sportsman Education - All first-time hunters, bow hunters and trappers
need to pass one or more
courses before they
can get a license in New York.
All courses are free of charge.
